Overview

The College Campus Counselor Advocate works as a part of the counseling advocacy team, and is responsible for campus outreach, education, counseling, medical advocacy, legal advocacy and campus advocacy for survivors of sexual assault who are students and/or staff at Edgewood College and Madison College.

This position offers a supportive environment for clients to talk about experiences and feelings related to sexual assault and helps clients identify challenges and build on their strengths and abilities.  Counselor Advocates do not offer psychological evaluation, diagnoses or testing.

All RCC employees must be committed to providing services with and to a variety of cultures outside of one’s own with cultural awareness, sensitivity and humility.
