THE OPPORTUNITY:

As a Controller with direct access to the CEO and CFO, you will be part of ActBlue’s growing Finance team. You will play an instrumental role in managing corporate wide financial control and financial management. You will work creatively and independently in order to provide alternative financial options to reach business goals and you will focus on daily financial overwatch to inform major business decisions. You will support senior leadership in making tactical and strategic decisions by providing detailed reports and analysis with suggestions or solutions. You will be a key thought partner, a trusted resource and subject matter expert for departmental and executive leadership. This role reports to the Director of Financial Planning & Analysis.

WHAT YOU WILL DO:

Manage the full cycle of financial close, forecast and budget process to ensure data accuracy and efficiency
Consolidate, analyze, and produce executive management reporting packages
Review and reconcile regulatory reporting to ensure completeness and accuracy
Manage cash management activities including accounts payable, accounts receivable, investment analysis, and reconciliation for all bank accounts with Operations activities
Provide financial systems support and assist in ERP implementation
Lead and manage the full lifecycle of assigned initiatives including defining scope, implementation, stakeholder management across the organization and change management
Leverage tools and systems to quickly access data and present meaningful, concise information to leadership
Own the end to end modeling process
Analyze the financial impact of proposed policies and contracts impacting expense and revenue
Provide direct financial strategic support to the Executive Leadership Team
Provide support to the Director of Finance including financial reporting, analysis, special projects and ad hoc requests
Optimize and enhance current processes and reports for process improvement
WHAT YOU BRING:

At least 10 years of financial or accounting experience supporting an organization
Eight years of experience in providing strategic guidance and presentations to C-suite executives
A bachelor’s degree in finance or accounting
Experience developing and managing the process for organizational budgets, forecasts, and month end close
Experience developing and producing financial reports and analysis
Experience managing short and long term projects
Ability to identify gaps or deficiencies, provide recommendations, documentation and execute solutions
Experience managing stakeholders across the organization
Experience defining scope or goals for new initiatives with accountability for efficacy of functional strategy
Experience managing large data sets with an ability to summarize and simplify for executive reporting and analysis
Outstanding ability to visually present information
Excellent verbal and written communication skills, presentations skills, and a commitment to collaborate with people at all levels and with diverse backgrounds
Technical skills to support financial reporting and variance analysis with accuracy and efficiency
A strong interest in building processes and procedures and identifying opportunities for efficiency
A natural curiosity and excellent organizational abilities
BONUS POINTS IF:

Experience managing corporate initiatives or transformation projects e.g., process improvement, operating profit enhancement initiatives
Experience with ERP implementation, system integration or conversion project
Experience with cash management and reconciliation
Experience serving as an expert resource on function(s) with the team, managers and leaders across the organization and as a key thought partner for senior leaders
5 years of financial and accounting experience in financial services industry
At least 5 years of experience running large data set across multiple systems (HR, Finance and CRM)
Advanced in Microsoft Excel, Powerpoint, Access, and Word
LOCATION AND COMPENSATION:

This posting is for a full-time, remote, salaried position. ActBlue is currently authorized to support remote work employees in Arizona, California, Colorado, Connecticut, Florida, Georgia, Illinois, Indiana, Iowa, Kentucky, Maine, Maryland, Massachusetts, Michigan, Minnesota, Missouri, Montana, Nebraska, New Hampshire, New Jersey, New York, North Carolina, Ohio, Oregon, Pennsylvania, Rhode Island, South Dakota, Tennessee, Texas, Utah, Vermont, Virginia, Washington, Washington D.C., Wisconsin and Wyoming.

Salary Range Details:

Salary Range: $144,000 – $180,000

ActBlue is committed to consistent compensation practices across our organization. Final salary offers will take into account factors such as candidate experience, interview performance and current team salary parity.
