Indivisible is developing a nationally coordinated network (NCN) of community-based Indivisible groups to build a nationwide movement for change. As part of NCN, Indivisible groups organize locally to impact key national issues. By making a sustained commitment to acting together as a network, Indivisible groups can better hold elected officials accountable, and shape the message in the local and national media.

Indivisible is seeking creative, experienced Organizers to organize, support, and grow the NCN. Organizers will be primarily responsible for organizing NCN groups to build long-term power across a priority state or region. This includes working with Indivisible group leaders and activists to build a strong volunteer infrastructure, developing and supporting group leadership, growing our volunteer base, and executing strategic turf plans in collaboration with team leadership.

We are building an exciting model for distributed movement organizing and powerbuilding. This role presents a unique opportunity for dynamic, self-starters who excel in relationship building, project management, and leadership development – and who want to grapple with how to build a powerful social movement..

Candidates may be based anywhere in Pennsylvania, with up to 20% travel over the course of the year.  We are hiring for this position immediately, with applications reviewed on a rolling basis. This position is full-time, with a salary starting at $51,500, commensurate with experience. Program Management

• Create strong, trusted relationships with NCN group leaders and activists. Provide the guidance, feedback, structure, and support they need to organize effectively.

• Identify and develop new NCN leaders. Work closely with group leaders and activists to build leadership skills and structures within Indivisible groups and state networks.

• Build power. Develop stronger statewide coordination among groups and activists. Recruit and activate volunteers and members to join Indivisible’s efforts.

• Build capacity. Train groups and members on Indivisible’s theory of change and knowledge resources, and equip them with the tools they need to execute local strategic actions.

• Build capacity. Recruit and develop volunteers and regional organizers to grow our reach and ability to organize at scale.

• Deliver results. Develop and execute strategic turf plans to hit short term campaign and long term power building goals.

• Actively build the Organizing Department. Take part in department projects and special initiatives to build our structure and long term capacity.

• Report, track, and record real time data.

• Debrief and reflect.  Proactively engage in critical, data-driven analysis to unearth lessons learned and best practices.

Required Qualifications

Field Expertise & Strategy

• Strong understanding and analysis of power, and at least 2-3 years/cycles of demonstrated experience in community, labor, movement, or electoral organizing

• Experience developing and implementing field plans, tracking and assessing progress, and adapting as needed

• Ability to train activists in skill development, power-building, and strategic planning

• Ability to tackle problems with actionable plans, generate smart, innovative approaches, not afraid to think outside of the box.

Ability to Manage in Complexity

• Relentlessly results oriented; strong track record of meeting or exceeding goals
