The National Women’s Law Center seeks an Assistant to provide critical administrative support to the TIME’S UP Legal Defense Fund and the Legal Network for Gender Equity. These projects connect individuals experiencing sex discrimination and sex harassment in the workplace, education, and health care with attorneys. The TIME’S UP Legal Defense Fund also provides financial support to defray the costs of legal representation and/or public relations assistance in select cases involving workplace sexual harassment. The position is for a term ending on December 31, 2021 with a possibility of extension dependent on the continued availability of funding. This is a non-exempt position.

· Receive, organize and process bills for payment from attorneys and public relations firms for the TIME’S UP Legal Defense Fund;
· Respond to questions from attorneys and public relations firms regarding the billing process;
· Contact and check references for attorneys applying for funding from TIME’S UP Legal Defense Fund.
The ideal candidate will have:
- Strong attention to detail, proofreading, and excellent written and oral communications skills.
Additional preferred skills and knowledge:
· Experience with InDesign and WordPress.
· Demonstrated ability to work well in a fast-paced, diverse and inclusive team setting, remaining flexible, resourceful and proactive.
· A demonstrated ability to prioritize, organize and complete work independently.
· Experience with low-income communities, communities of color, and/or LGBTQI communities.
The Program Assistant will report directly to the Program Manager for TULDF work closely with the Manager for Cash and Payables as well as with the Director, Senior Counsel, and the Associate for TULDF.
Compensation & Benefits
A minimum salary of $46,000 will be provided to the successful candidate who has at least two years of college or two years of relevant work experience consistent with the National Women’s Law Center’s compensation framework.
The Center offers a comprehensive benefits package, and four weeks of annual vacation. NWLC is located on Metro’s Red Line in Dupont Circle.
