POSITION SUMMARY
The Development Coordinator has overall responsibility for organizing and managing the development office and carrying out all administrative duties associated with the development and donor-related activities.
Must be highly organized, detail-oriented, and thrive in an administrative/support role. Outstanding communication skills are necessary, as this position frequently interacts with donors, volunteers, and staff.
• Gift Processing and Acknowledgement:
o Acknowledge all gifts and pledges per department standards.
o Maintain accurate donor records in the donor database system (Tessitura) and files (physical and digital).
• Development Office:
o Generate letters and routine correspondence.
o Prepare mailings of various sizes.
o Proofread and edit Development materials.
• Development Events:
o Support all Development and annual fundraising events.
o Ensure supplies, collateral materials, signage, nametags, follow-up, etc., are prepared in advance and available for all events.
o Manage check-in process for all events.
• Donor and Prospect Tracking:
o Create, update and maintain accurate donor records.
o Maintain master mailing lists for donors and prospects.
o Ensure impeccable and timely donor data entry and updating in Tessitura.
• Donor Stewardship:
o Prepare and distribute benefit sheets for all partnerships.
o Assist with fulfillment of tangible benefits and track to ensure delivery.
o Review and update recognition lists; lobby, Theater, and Planetarium slides, website.
o Create gift baskets and assist with other promotional gifts.
o Manage calendar of donor milestones and report out information as needed.

EDUCATION and EXPERIENCE High school diploma and a minimum of 2 years of related experience and training preferred; or an equivalent combination of education and experience. Tessitura or related database knowledge and experience are highly preferred.
