Job Title: Operations Manager. This position reports to and works closely with the Executive Director.
FLSA Status: Exempt, Full-Time Salary: $45,000
Benefits: 13 paid holidays; two weeks vacation; sick time; $500 monthly healthcare stipend; 403(b) with
3% employer match; parking pass

AREAS OF RESPONSIBILITY
Customer Service & Partnership Development (25%)
● Serves as first contact for all inquiries from members and the public
● Communicates regularly with a diverse set of volunteer members across 19 affiliates
● Answers detailed questions about LWVCO nonpartisan advocacy positions and Colorado ballot

issues
● Participates in partner meetings and conversations and forwards connections to appropriate
stakeholders
Financial Management (25%)
● Primary organizational bookkeeper. Records all payables and receivables.
● Supports volunteer Treasurer with reconciliation and managing liability accounts
● Records and manages donations, tracking acknowledgements
● Writes checks, interfaces with financial institutions, and creates variety of financial reports
Database Administration & Information Technology (20%)
● Serves as primary LWVCO database and website administrator, including regular data entry and
website content development
● Administers miscellaneous technologies including Zoom, Google Analytics, and PayPal
● Manages all organizational technology login information and account renewals
● Trains volunteers and staff on technology best-practice and regularly supports 19 affiliates statewide
with similar needs
● Researches and proposes IT solutions
Office Administration (20%)
● Coordinates and manages office equipment and vendor contracts
● Records and distributes minutes of Board of Directors and Committee meetings
● Maintains organizational files
● Submits and maintains governmental filings and documentation to ensure compliance
● Some executive assistant duties
● Orders and maintains office supplies within budget guidelines
Event Planning (10%)
● Supports virtual and in-person events, regularly attended by Colorado’s elected officials and
LWVCO partners
● Responsibilities of in-person events include renting space, purchasing food/beverage, managing
registration, coordinating audio/visual, and printing materials

● Ability to be a self starter but works well with others; High level of maturity & emotional
intelligence
● Demonstrated knowledge of & interest in Colorado politics, including similar nonprofit partners &
legislative activities
● Ability to maintain absolute political nonpartisanship while representing LWVCO
● Information technology skills, with specific focus on CRM/AMS database management and/or
website administration
● Bookkeeping and QuickBooks experience and application of GAAP
● Customer service and membership development experience
● Excellent time management skills, particularly while managing competing priorities
● Excellent written, oral, and interpersonal communication skills
● Ability to work flexible hours and occasionally support/attend events during the evenings and
weekends
● Must enjoy and be comfortable working with a wide variety of people

● Spanish language skills are a BIG plus
● Sense of humor, flexibility, willingness to do what needs to get done – we hire for attitude!
