Century Engineering has an immediate opening for a full-time Marketing and Communications Associate. The person in this role will manage our efforts for planning, implementing, and monitoring the company’s branding and social media strategy to enhance awareness and manage the reputation of our organization. The position requires a well-organized, detail-orientated individual who will be responsible for producing original content to be utilized across various platforms including social media, video, print materials, e-mail, web, and other promotional products. The Marketing and Communications Associate will establish methods for determining the focus audience, increasing visibility with that audience, and applying the proper channels and methods to engage internal and external clients.


Handle day-to-day management of editorial calendar and content for corporate intranet news site. Evaluate story submissions, requests, and photos for newsworthiness and quality
Leverage excellent writing skills and knowledge of AP Style to develop materials including news stories, announcements, newsletters, and staff communications
Design content for website, LinkedIn, Facebook, and Instagram accounts
Serve as an in-house copywriter, photographer, videographer, and graphic designer to create digital content and graphics
Identify articles and write content for monthly company blog
Expand SEO-friendly website information
Improve target e-mail interactions via email marketing on Constant Contact
Connect with internal subject matter experts to identify AEC news, topics, and trends
Maintain up-to-date event/conference schedule within the AEC industry
Write and circulate press releases and announcements
Create award submittals for industry competitions
Oversee sponsorship and advertisement necessities
Enrich a corporate collateral suite and supporting resources
Promote other department communications and activities as needed
Assist with marketing and proposal development

Bachelor’s Degree, in communications, marketing, journalism, graphic design, or related field
3 – 5 years of corporate communications and/or graphic design experience
Excellent oral and written communication skills
Excellent organizational and planning skills
Excellent writing skills with the ability to write clearly and succinctly with a high level of accuracy using proper grammar, spelling, and punctuation
Ability to discern news value and develop compelling content
Solid foundation in internal communications best practices with a basic understanding of digital communications, graphic design, and social media to include an in-depth understanding of Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIn, etc.
Must be able to prioritize, organize, and complete simultaneous projects independently
Proficiency with WordPress and Adobe Creative Suite required
Proficiency with Constant Contact preferred
