National Quality Control Office Director

The Outreach team is one of the largest field vendors in the country. We work on behalf of amazing progressive partners to win real social change for good. Our goal is to consistently raise the overall level of organizing/canvass work across platforms by thinking holistically about our clients, the campaign we are trying to win, and the staff who work on the campaign.

In the critical upcoming midterm elections, our Quality Control team will be the ones working behind the scenes to maximize the number of registered voters and protect critical grassroots organizations. This team partners with organizations doing voter registration and voter contact work to help them maintain the highest quality of outreach work, which in turn protects individuals’ voting rights and ensures high-quality data for voter outreach efforts

The National QC Office Director will oversee a network of Quality Control offices around the country, hire and manage QC Office Directors, and work with The Outreach Team leadership to build plans to meet the goals of this ambitious project. This position runs through December of 2022.

The National Office Director can be located anywhere in the U.S. close to a major airport, and will oversee offices based in the central and eastern time zones. Significant travel for in-person management will be a requirement of the position starting January of 2022. This is a Manager level position reporting to the QC Project Director.


Bottom line responsible for meeting the goals of the national project: verifying the quality of all voter registration forms within the required turnaround time
Manage Office Directors and oversee their hiring, training, reporting, and day to day work
Work with People Department to drive recruitment and hiring goals for expanding our Partner Manager team
Train Office Directors on QC procedures, and on training staff in their offices
Analyze data and work with the Quality Control Partner Managers to flag trends and problems for partner organizations
Identify national trends in data collection, identify problems, and develop and implement system-wide solutions
Drive equity and justice priorities across all offices, and train and support Office Directors in running culturally competent call programs
Develop staff into leaders, and help Office Directors create and implement leadership development plans for top staff in their offices
Maintain high standards in the offices and provide ongoing feedback and evaluation for staff over the phone and on in-person site visits
Plan ahead to anticipate workflow and help Office DIrectors to create office employee schedules accordingly
Manage and track a national budget and work with Administrator to submit accurate budget updates


3 or more years of staff management experience, especially in campaigns, canvass operations, or field organizing
Passion for progressive policies and civic engagement, particularly among communities of color
Thorough planner
Extremely detail-oriented: you catch small and large errors that most people miss
Intermediate skills in Excel/Sheets
Experience using data to plan and improve outreach or field programs
Committed to centering equity and justice



Experience with voter registration
Bilingual in English and Spanish
Advanced skills in Excel/Sheets
Experience managing a Quality Control program for a voter registration or voter contact program
Experience training staff and managers on cultural competency

This is a manager-level position with a range of $69,700-$83,800 per year depending on experience. We offer benefits including fully paid health care, vacation and sick days.
