For over 100 years, YWCA Golden Gate Silicon Valley has provided programs and services that form a critical continuum of response, healing, and prevention. Our dedication to the people we serve is unparalleled. We
have an exciting future, and the team to deliver on that lasting change for the people we serve. To encourage survivor self-determination, services are delivered through a strengths-based, non-judgmental, and trauma-
informed lens that aligns with our mission. Be a key part of shaping this future as our new BilingualBloom Coordinator in our Economic Opportunity Department.
Reporting to the Chief Program Officer of Economic Opportunity and Social Justice, the Bilingual Bloom Coordinator is responsible for managing the client dressing program from referral through wardrobe appointments, serving as the primary stylist for clients, coordinating community partnerships, managing
inventory across Bloom locations and the Bloom Van, and recruiting, training, and supporting Bloom volunteers. This position plays a vital role in ensuring every client receives an exceptional experience that builds confidence and supports their journey toward economic independence.
We are seeking a compassionate, organized, and fashion-minded Bilingual Bloom Coordinator to lead the daily operations of the Bloom program throughout Santa Clara County. Services are delivered through a strengths-based, non-judgmental, culturally responsive, and trauma-informed approach that honors the dignity and self-determination of every client. We are looking for an individual with warmth, empathy, exceptional organizational skills, and a passion for serving others. The ideal candidate enjoys working directly with people, has an appreciation for fashion and styling, and is committed to providing equitable, client-centered services for individuals from diverse cultural and socioeconomic backgrounds, including survivors of trauma.
Candidates must demonstrate excellent interpersonal and communication skills and be able to work both independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment. The successful candidate will embrace YWCA’s mission and values while contributing creative ideas, proactive solutions, and a commitment to continuous improvement.
Candidates should possess two to three years of experience in customer service, nonprofit services, retail, fashion merchandising, wardrobe styling, volunteer coordination, or a related field. Experience working with diverse populations, maintaining confidential records, coordinating multiple priorities, and utilizing Microsoft Office applications is preferred.
Requirements:
- Bilingual, bicultural, and biliterate fluency in English and Spanish (required)
- Two to three years of experience in customer service, nonprofit services, fashion, retail, or a related field
- Demonstrated ability to work with culturally diverse populations using a trauma-informed and strengths-based approach
- Excellent organizational, communication, and relationship-building skills
- Experience coordinating volunteers, partnerships, or community programs preferred
- Knowledge of fashion, wardrobe styling, or personal shopping is highly desirable
- Ability to lift up to 35 pounds and drive a large cargo van throughout Santa Clara County, including Gilroy, and occasionally to San Rafael, CA
Work hours are primarily Monday through Friday with occasional evenings and weekends based on program needs. This hybrid position requires regular travel throughout Santa Clara County, including Bloom community sites, the San Jose office, and the Bloom store in San Rafael, CA. Delivery of services may
occasionally require overtime. Because of the nature of this work, employees should practice healthy self-care and be prepared for the potential of compassion fatigue and vicarious trauma.
Other requirements:
- Cleared background check (fingerprinting)
- Valid TB test
- Valid 3+ years California driver’s license, reliable transportation, a clean driving record, and auto insurance that meets California minimum liability requirements.
- Must have completed or be willing to complete a 75-hour California State Domestic Violence and Sexual Assault Counselor certification. (Training will be provided).
