Job Summary

The Hub Project is looking for an experienced Deputy Campaign Director to help design, build, and manage our newest campaign vertical. This person will work closely with the Senior Campaign Director to inform program strategy to advance the goals of the Hub and its allies. This deputy will help manage the day-to-day operations of the team as well as play a key role in the strategic decision-making of short and long-term planning. This person will also have a large role in managing partner and coalition relationships.

Salary Range: $105K-$125K

Location: Washington, D.C.

Status: Full-time, Exempt

As Deputy Campaign Director you will

Work with the Campaign Director to develop and execute partnership strategies that strengthen and promote the Hub’s campaigns, mission, and goals.
Cultivate and maintain relationships with advocacy and campaign partners at peer institutions and develop relationships with key stakeholders across the Hub’s core audiences, including developing a strong sense of when is the right moment to call on which partner for the greatest impact in our work.
Help manage decentralized campaigns, budgets, and vendors to enable the program to scale up.
Develop, write, and execute comprehensive issue advocacy campaign plans that tap into an array of resources for the program.
Nurture collaborations and partnerships with allies at the national, state, and district levels to accomplish the program’s goals.
Oversee and help identify rapid-response efforts as opportunities arise.
Design and oversee consistent reporting on program progress and successes.
Qualifications

You have previous campaign experience, at least 5+ years of political or issue advocacy campaign experience
You are highly organized and able to manage multiple projects and priorities simultaneously. They should be able to manage timelines, budgets, and schedules and be comfortable delegating tasks to other team members.
You are able to work collaboratively with the team, manage up to the Campaign Director, and have experience leading coalition efforts. They should be able to manage relationships effectively and resolve conflicts when they arise.
You have experience with large-scale paid media campaigns and a willingness to try new and innovative tactics alongside traditional approaches.
You are an excellent verbal and written communicator.
You are an experienced people manager and a talented leader.
You are committed to developing strategic plans that work–and orienting numerous people and tactics around achieving goals.
You have managed large and complicated budgets.
You have successfully negotiated with and managed numerous outside vendors.

Comprehensive benefits package that includes 100% employer-paid health, dental, and vision insurance for employees (and their families). Employees are able to enroll in 401k retirement plan and are eligible for a 3% automatic contribution and up to a 3% employer match on 401k contributions. Employees are also eligible for pre-tax transportation benefits. Employees will receive 120 hours of vacation time, 80 hours of health leave, up to 2 days of casual leave, and 20 hours of volunteer leave annually. Employees will also receive 13 paid holidays throughout the calendar year. Employees are eligible for 12 weeks of paid family and medical leave after 90 days of employment.
