Democratic Candidate for US Congress (AR-03)

Caitlin Draper, Democratic nominee for Arkansas’ 3rd congressional district,  is looking for an enthusiastic and detail-oriented Finance Director to join her campaign . The Finance Director will lead the campaign’s fundraising efforts and work to build out a strong program for the candidate’s first bid. A licensed clinical social worker and community advocate, Caitlin Draper is running to protect Arkansans’ fundamental rights and make sure there is a voice for hard-working Arkansas families in Washington.  Caitlin is running an energetic campaign that’s about bringing new leadership, compassion, and new ideas.

Responsibilities:

-Oversee all finance operations for the campaign and create a finance plan and budget.
-Create call-time materials, supervise and/or staff call-time with the candidate.
-Develop and maintain relationships with institutional donors and PACs.
-Identify and research new donors.
-Build and execute a dynamic events program.
-Conduct follow-up for solicitations of contributions
-Maintain accurate financial records.
-Oversee potential junior finance staff, campaign team members, and interns.
-Collaborate with external vendors, such as paid media and polling consultants, as well as the “kitchen cabinet.”
-Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

-At least one and preferably two cycles of political campaign experience with a – finance background.
-Experience managing call-time of a principal.
-Experience with political finance plans and budgets.
-NGP, ActBlue, Excel, and Google Suite proficiency.
-Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
-Excellent time management skills and ability to manage multiple projects     simultaneously.
-Willing to work campaign hours, including nights and weekends as needed.
-Committed to meeting the goals of the organization and using data to inform   decisions.
-Committed to bringing a detail and results oriented attitude to the   organization.
-Positive attitude and an ability to approach problem solving with creativity.
-Travel as required.
A-rkansas ties are a plus, but not required.

The salary for this position is between $4,000 and $5,000 per month, commensurate with experience. Supporter housing and relocation support are open to negotiation.

This position is based in Fayetteville, Arkansas and candidates must be willing to relocate. Timeline of relocation is open to discussion.
