POSITION SUMMARY:

Greenpeace USA is hiring a Digital Engagement Manager to join our dynamic and innovative, online team. This role will help lead a world-class, bilingual digital program that will deepen the engagement of our supporters, activists and donors. Greenpeace USA is an independent, people-powered organization dedicated to making real change. The Digital Engagement Manager, will be at the forefront of our work to tackle the climate crisis, fight for justice and build a green and peaceful future. This position will help execute the transition of GPUS Digital from vendor management to in-house management, while building/maintaining templates, lists, and analytics, and may also support other campaign verticals, as needed. The ideal candidate will possess top-tier digital skills and a high degree of attention to detail. Experience working in an agency, political, or advocacy setting is helpful.

The Digital Engagement Manager is a grant-funded, exempt, full time, benefits-eligible position and will report to the Digital Director. This position can be located in any state in which Greenpeace USA staff are authorized to work: CA, CO, CT, DC, FL, GA, IL, MD, ME, NC, NV, NY, NJ, OR, VA, WA.

The Digital Engagement Manager will:

  • Work with GPUS’s online team to create and implement effective omni-channel, bilingual and bicultural digital campaigns for GPUS general engagement program
  • Manage eCRM technology such as EveryAction and run queries to launch emails
  • Develop and execute A/B testing plans to optimize emails and webforms
  • Pull and analyze data on email messaging, advocacy engagement and more
  • Help draft compelling email copy, landing page copy and other creative materials as needed
  • Build and maintain strategic subscriber segments
  • Monitor and maintain subscriber list hygiene and deliverability
  • Contribute to strategies for list acquisition, engagement, fundraising, and testing
  • Maintain compliance with data privacy laws and 501(c)3/(c)4 program distinctions
  • Project management: Keep digital journeys, task lists, meeting agendas, and communications calendars
  • Communicating with colleagues across functions at all levels to keep projects on schedule and working effectively
  • Represent Greenpeace USA’s digital engagement work both internally and externally, and with global Greenpeace projects / groups when appropriate

Minimum requirements for the Digital Engagement Manager role include:

  • 4-5 years of full-time digital marketing experience, including at least 1 year of exclusive, full-time email marketing experience
  • C2 level (or equivalent) language and cultural fluency in Spanish
  • Demonstrated ability to use and learn digital marketing tools and technologies
  • Ability to crunch numbers in Excel and draw actionable insights from the results
  • Strong commitment to the organization’s emphasis on diversity, equity, and
    inclusion in all aspects of our work

Preferred skills and experiences for the Digital Engagement Manager include:

  • Experience in an agency setting or nonprofits/social benefit orgs, electoral campaigns, and/or other issue campaigns
  • Experience with digital fundraising

The starting salary for this position is anticipated to be $76,473 – $87,900, and is commensurate with experience.
