Position Title: Firefighter Paramedic
The North Lauderdale Fire Department is hiring a Firefighter Paramedic. After training, this position will be placed on a 24-—to 48-hour work schedule. Candidates must complete NTN’s FireTEAM exam to move forward.

Department Overview: North Lauderdale Fire Rescue is a career service department with 46 full-time fire rescue personnel, two part-time fire rescue personnel, two fire inspectors, and two civilian logistic personnel. All fire rescue personnel must possess a minimum Firefighter II certification level of training based on NFPA 1001 Standard for Fire Fighter Professional Qualifications. The department provides emergency medical services (EMS), fire suppression, and fire prevention, operating out of two fire stations, as well as a state-of-the-art Fire Rescue Training facility, which provides all required training to NLFR personnel and outside Fire Rescue agencies.

Vision: NFPA 1582 Standard on Comprehensive Occupational Medical Program for Fire Departments – CH 6.3.3 Eyes and Vision requirements
College: Not Required
Academy Certification: Firefighter/Paramedic
Prior Experience: Not Required
Necessary Certifications: Florida Firefighter I and II certification, Florida State Certified Paramedic
Additional Requirements: CPAT – Candidate Physical Ability
