Salary Information: $61,556 – $93,296

Department Overview
Belvidere Fire Department calls for dedicated individuals who are passionate about the community and emergency services, offering extensive training, leadership development, and a commitment to excellence in service to our community and those who serve them.
The Belvidere Fire Department has been serving the City of Belvidere since 1886. We protect the city’s population of 25,585 covering an area of 12.5 square miles. In 2023 the Belvidere Fire Department responded to 3,322 calls for service.The Department maintains a full-time staff of 42 members and operates from two Fire Stations and an Ambulance Station to provide effective coverage throughout the city. We seek highly self-motivated individuals who are passionate about serving others and providing for our community. Belvidere Fire prides itself on strong teamwork, leadership skills, smart but aggressive tactics, safety, and an “All In” attitude. Experience is not necessary to apply, but it is necessary to have the courage and willingness to serve others in their greatest need.
