THE OPPORTUNITY:

The Marketplace Initiatives Associate will join ActBlue’s newly formed Marketplace & Digital Initiatives Department. This position will report to the Marketplace Initiative Assistant Director and support the department in coordinating investments, conducting marketplace analysis, working with assigned stakeholders, and assisting in the execution of programs. This position will also support work collaboratively across ActBlue to help position ActBlue in the marketplace.

In addition to completing assigned program work, the Marketplace Initiatives Associate will serve as a key communicator, maintain feedback loops, and assist with project management and department operations.

 

WHAT YOU WILL DO:

Research, track and suggest ActBlue branding opportunities in the political and nonprofit technology markets.
Assist with project management for long-term investment projects.
Monitor progress of investments and deliverables, including external communication with investees post-MOU.
Assist directors in collaborating with account management teams to coordinate investment opportunity needs and deadlines.
Support setting up investment structures and track investments.
Schedule and coordinate meetings.
Liaise with the Planning & Operations Team to execute and track expenditures.
Support with materials tracking between departments, such as Communications & Marketing, to ensure materials and speaking needs (if relevant) are fulfilled for every committed engagement.
Research and assist with building a system for power mapping the progressive ecosystem and competitor tracking, including an ongoing SWOT marketplace analysis.
Create and maintain cross-departmental calendars as they relate to ongoing projects.
Assist with coordinating the logistics of market research and other ongoing projects.
Maintain external relationships as assigned by the Assistant Director.
Complete other tasks as assigned.
WHAT YOU BRING:

At least two years of experience in political or nonprofit work.
Experience executing plans and goals.
Project management experience.
Demonstrated experience building and maintaining relationships with external and internal stakeholders.
Experience working closely with fundraising and digital programs preferred.
Strong written and verbal communication skills.
The ability to find and explain complex problems and facilitate solution execution.
Knowledge of the political technology industry and progressive market.
Demonstrated commitment to diversity and inclusion.
LOCATION AND COMPENSATION:

This posting is for a full-time, remote, salaried position. ActBlue is authorized to support remote work in these states: Arizona, California, Colorado, Florida, Georgia, Illinois, Indiana, Iowa, Kentucky, Maine, Maryland, Massachusetts, Michigan, Minnesota, Missouri, Nebraska, New Hampshire, New Jersey, New York, North Carolina, Ohio, Oregon, Pennsylvania, Rhode Island, South Dakota, Tennessee, Texas, Utah, Virginia, Washington, Washington D.C., and Wisconsin.

 

Salary Range: $55,000 – $70,000, depending on experience

The terms and conditions of this position are subject to a collective bargaining agreement with the Campaign Workers Guild, the exclusive bargaining agent of covered ActBlue employees.
