Project title: DEI Affinity Group Facilitators

Project begins: Jun 17, 2024

Project length: June 17, 2024 – September 30, 2024

Project Overview: MoveOn’s People and Organizational Development Team is looking for consultants/external facilitators who will design and facilitate our affinity groups or race-based caucuses.

Currently, we have 5 affinity groups/caucuses:

Black POC
Latinx POC
Non-Black/Non-Latinx POC
Mixed-race POC
White Working Group

We are expecting the group discussions to take place for one (1) hour at least twice a month that creates a safe space for staff to speak about challenges and joy at work and a space for staff to propose meaningful next steps to the People Team to make MoveOn a workplace where all our staff can thrive and have a sense of belonging.

We expect facilitators to have the same identity as the affinity group they are facilitating.

RFP submission date: Please submit to [email protected] by May 30, 2024 and put DEI Facilitation in the subject line.

Scope of work:

Design and facilitate 6 to 8 sessions of small group discussions for 5 affinity groups.
Create tools for equity analysis or equity lens that staff can use in their day-to-day work.
One session of debrief and recommendations of next steps with the People Team.

Required Qualifications:

Experience and proven ability to design training and group discussions related to justice, equity, diversity, and inclusion.
Experience as DEI staff person or consultant with other progressive or social justice organizations.
Strong knowledge of uprooting white supremacy and racial justice.
Strong facilitation skills. Proven ability to hold safe spaces and facilitate difficult conversations.
