Join our team! The Franklin Division of Police is a progressive law enforcement agency located in Warren County, Ohio. Situated on I-75 between Cincinnati and Dayton, Ohio, the Police Division serves the citizens of Franklin, Ohio, and surrounding communities. The current authorized staffing of the Division is 27 officers. The Franklin Police Division is one of three agencies in the county with its own communication center consisting of seven full-time dispatchers. The City of Franklin is in the midst of rapid growth and development, including the construction of brand-new schools, downtown revitalization and development, and the construction of more than 300 new family homes.

The Franklin Civil Service Commission is testing for the position of Police Officer through the National Testing Network, Inc. to establish a current Police Officer eligibility list for the City of Franklin.
STEP 1: Application
1. Submit the completed City of Franklin employment application by Friday, July 19, 2024.

c. Applications MUST be turned in at the Municipal Building or via email to [email protected]
STEP 2: Written Test
1. Steps to satisfy passing written test:
a. Schedule a Written [Electronic] Test at www.nationaltestingnetwork.com
b. Passing Written NTN scores must be submitted by Friday, July 19, 2024, to be considered for this eligibility list.
STEP 3: Physical Agility Test
a. Complete the Physical Agility Test on Sunday, July 21, at 1:00 PM.
b. Only one session is necessary. The location of the agility test will be at Atrium Memorial Stadium Premiere Health Field, located at 306 E. Sixth Street, Franklin, Ohio, 45005.
c. The physical agility test will be OPOTA Cooper Standards for push-ups (1 min), sit-ups (1 min), and 300-meter run. Please allow 1 to 2 hours on the day of testing.
d. Candidates must preregister for the Physical Ability Test by emailing [email protected].
Applicants must be between the ages of twenty-one (21) and forty (40) on the date of the written examination. A photo identification must be shown on the day of testing.
Applicants attaining a passing score and attaching a copy of the Ohio Peace Officers Training Certificate to the application will add three (3) points to their final score. Candidates must have their Ohio Peace Officers Training certificate to be appointed, although applicants may take the exam before acquiring that certificate. Applicants who have an honorable discharge from the military of the United States will have five (5) points added to their final score. A copy of your DD214 or Honorable Discharge certificate must accompany your application for credit. Any Franklin Auxiliary Officer who attains a passing score will have five (5) points added to their final score.
