Salary range: $9,000-$10,000 monthly, based on experience. Generous benefits package.

Summary of Position:

Tammy Baldwin for Senate is seeking a Digital Director to join our team. The campaign is based in Madison, WI.

We are looking for a candidate who can take the lead in building out the campaign’s digital department. This role will be a member of senior staff, work very closely with the Digital Fundraising Director, the Communications Director, and our digital consultants. This is a supervisory role.

An ideal candidate will have prior management experience and be well-versed in multiple aspects of a digital program including content strategy, digital organizing, online fundraising, managing social platforms, reporting and analyzing digital data, writing for and directing a principal, and managing persuasion and mobilization paid media. This position will report directly to the campaign manager.

Duties and Responsibilities:

Develop and execute a digital program that fits campaign’s short-term and long-term digital strategy in close collaboration with campaign manager, digital fundraising director, communications director, candidate, and consulting teams
Structure, recruit, hire, and manage expansive digital department
Design and execute goal-oriented content strategy to grow online following
Manage social media platforms, and develop multi-platform creative including copy, graphics, and video
Work with the digital fundraising director to optimize digital fundraising program
Build and manage the campaign’s surrogates and influencers program
Make periodic website updates, create microsites

Qualifications:

4+ years of experience or 1-2 campaign cycles managing digital and/or paid media strategy preferably for an electoral campaign, advocacy organization, or nonprofit
Superior organizational, writing, editing, and proofreading skills
Experience with managing or executing digital content production (copy-writing, graphic design, video production)
Familiarity with photography, audio/video editing, and using graphic design software like Adobe Creative Suite products (e.g. InDesign, Photoshop, Premiere Pro, and Illustrator), or others preferred
Demonstrated social media platform management fluency (Twitter, Facebook, Instagram, Snapchat. etc.), including community building, analytics, and marketing strategy and management
Demonstrated ability to dissect complex topics and make them relevant to a wide audience
The ability to respond quickly to breaking news and the changing online conversation
Experience analyzing and communicating digital metrics
Demonstrated success earning digital project and program buy-in from non-digital departments
A positive attitude and the ability to manage a team under pressure

Compensation:

$9,000-$10,000 per month
